Access
We’d like your visit to the Corn Exchange to be as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We have included some information about the venue below but if you have questions or you’d like to speak to a member of the team about your requirements please call 01392 665938 or email box.office@exeter.gov.uk.
Access to the building
Although we are a first floor venue there is step free access to both the box office and from the box office to the bar.
Parking
We do not have a car park, however, there is limited on street parking around the venue. More information on car parks around the venue can be found on our finding us page.
Seating
Although all aisle seats in the flat seating area of the venue can be removed for wheelchair users we have a selection of seats reserved for both wheelchairs and those with mobility, hearing or visual impairments. These seats are available online (to registered access customers only), over the phone or in person. Advance booking is essential as we release these seats to general sale when sold out or 2 weeks before the date of the event.
The tiered seating area is not suitable for those with mobility issues or for assistance dogs.
Induction loops
There are induction loops in both the auditorium and the box office. The induction loop in the auditorium is not always used during shows but you should be able to hear it anyway. If you are having problems hearing the show, please let a member of the team know.
Complimentary carer tickets
For the majority of our shows we offer complimentary companion tickets. These tickets are available online (to registered access customers only), over the phone or in person. Companions must be 14+ and able to assist you in the event of an evacuation. To register as an access customer you'll need to contact the box office in the first instance so we can set-up your account.
Box office
You can purchase tickets by phone, in person or sometimes by email. You can also book tickets online but you must register with us either by phone or in person so we can gather information about your specific needs. Once registered you will be able to select seats from the reserved seating area and purchase carer tickets.
Toilets
There is a disabled toilet available at Auditorium level.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome. If you wish to bring your dog into the performance, please let us know in advance so we can make sure adequate space is available.
Subtitles, audio description, and BSL performances
Due to the nature of our programme, it is not always possible for us to provide subtitles, audio description, and BSL performances as most shows only appear once here. Where one or more of these services is provided it will be listed in the event description.
