Exeter Philharmonic Choir Concert in Aid of The Lord Mayor's Charity

Details

This even takes place at Exeter Historic Guildhall.

You are warmly invited to a special concert hosted by the Lord Mayor of Exeter in support of her chosen charity, Riding for the Disabled – Exeter Group.

Held in the beautiful surroundings of Exeter’s Historic Guildhall, the afternoon will begin with a Mayoral Reception, followed by a performance from the Exeter Philharmonic Choir.

Founded in 1846, Exeter Philharmonic Choir has long been at the heart of the city’s musical life. The Pilgrims Chorus, formed in 2021 for annual tours along historic pilgrimage routes, is honoured to perform for the Lord Mayor and her guests on this special occasion.

The programme will take the audience on a musical journey through 500 years of choral music, blending sacred and secular works with spirituals, folk songs, and poetry. The Chorus performs under the direction of Musical Director, Stephen Tanner.
