Carnaby Street have been on the local music scene since the year 2000 and although some of the clientele have come and gone, the one thing that remains is their infectious energy and love of the swinging 60s.
Gary (guitarist) and Del (vocals) are the two remaining original members and are planning an anniversary show. The idea behind it is not only to celebrate an AMAZING 20 years together but to say thank you to all their fans, followers, Ex-members and of course family for sticking by them.
To understand the amazing vibe that surrounds this band you MUST check them out at a venue near you, make sure you say hi to them all, John (keys) Dale (Bass) and Mike (drums) make up the missing piece to the South West’s No1 60s act .
Peace, Love & Music to you all. ALRIGHT 😍
The Union Gap UK is appearing at this event.
For many years now The Union Gap (UK) has enjoyed great success on the 60's revival circuit – appearing at all the major festivals, theatres, holiday centres, etc. throughout the UK and Europe.
The band has worked extensively to put together a repertoire of classic songs from the '60s and '70s, which they perform either in the original form or in their own unique style – many of which appear on their various studio albums.
Obviously Union Gap will always be remembered for its UK chart-topping no 1 hit, Young Girl in 1968 followed by Lady Willpower which was another huge hit and Gary Puckett’s personal favourite Woman Woman which charted in 1969.
Original frontman Gary Puckett briefly re-joined the Union Gap (UK) in 2019 when he toured with them to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Young Girl being No1 to sold-out audiences countrywide.
The band have also devoted a great deal of time and effort to perfect their concert sound, which is always complimented upon wherever they appear. The Union Gap UK today are: Tom Harding, Simon Paul, Mike Ellis and Paul Grogan.
